Holy ground, holy ground, holy ground.

Now there are too many crocuses to count and the upper meadow of violets is in bloom, the koi are in and out of dormancy; their grace of movement is deep medicine. Yesterday our 1st daffodil opened! Glory. The ground is so wet and supple right now, a walk is a profoundly sensual experience with the sponge of the ground seemingly rising up to meet each step. Holy ground, holy ground, holy ground.

There’s also the chaos; so many fallen trees, so many pathways blocked by debris and bracken – it’s a rich daily practice, and a worthy metaphor for how things are; to make way, to recognize what has fallen, died, been destroyed, and see where the new path wants to emerge…

Much has shifted up here through the winter, new residents are arriving, new visions rising up and more events happening as community continues to gather more and more frequently, to serve, to grow. Some of PrayerFarm’s vision could involve you beyond events — Want to participate in our chicken raising and have fresh eggs? Want to help raise some lambs? (We will ultimately kill them for food FYI) Want to grow food up here with us or help do the biodynamic preparations for the orchards? These are all conversations we are engaged in – please reach out if more PrayerFarm is in your Spring and Summer dreams.
